While 'Cook Out' frustratingly have no official web presence, making it difficult for loyal fans of the North Carolina food chain to obtain information on calories in Cook Out milkshakes, the diet and nutritional information website 'www.myfitnesspal.com' lists nutritional facts for the Fancy Milkshake range, stating that a 22oz milk shake will typically contain 730 calories.

  • What's a 'Fancy Milkshake'?
There are over 40 different flavors to choose from in Cook Out's Fancy Milkshake range, and at least nine include chocolate as an ingredient. These include: Hershey's Chocolate, Chocolate Cherry, Snickers, Chocolate Chip Mint, Chocolate Nut, Chocolate Malt, Double Chocolate, Chocolate Cobbler and Cheesecake Chocolate. Apparently it is also possible to create your own flavor combination from any of the milkshakes available, giving an even greater array of flavors to choose from.

  • Is 730 calories a lot?
On average a typical man should be consuming 2500 calories in order to maintain their weight, while an average female should consume around a thousand calories less than that at 1500. So as you can see one of Cook-Out's fancy milkshakes is just under a third of the daily calories a male should be consuming and almost half of what a woman should be having, so yes 730 calories is a lot for one drink.

  • Does that mean I can't enjoy a Fancy Milkshake ever again? I'd rather stick a gun to my head!
Woah there! Don't be so hasty. No one is saying you can't indulge in one of Cook-out's deliciously creamy beverages ever again. In fact the more active a person is the more calories a person can have without putting on weight, and by keeping track of your calorie intake with applications such as 'myfitnesspal' there is no reason you can't treat yourself every so often.

It's most likely very similar to a wendy's frosty.  Check their website for more info (Cookout does not have a website to my knowledge.)
