'Black Lemonade' is the name of a cocktail served in a number of different bars.

Unfortunately, there is not one straight answer to what goes in it - because every bar seems to have their own version.

Luckily, that means you can experiment and choose your favorite!

Black Lemonade Cocktail Recipe

I've been to quite a few bars in my time - and I've worked in a few too, so I might be in a better position than most to advise you on your Black Lemonade recipe.

Essentially, a Black Lemonade cocktail only has two requirements:

  • That it is black in color
  • That it tastes similar to lemonade
From there on in, you can get as creative as you like.

Making a Black Lemonade A lot of bars use Chambord to give the drink a blackish-hue. Chambord is a French black-raspberry liqueur that is dark in color and sweet in taste.

  • I'd start there with your drink- by adding 0.5 oz of Chambord into a cocktail shaker.
  • Secondly, I'd go for 1 oz of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  • Then add 1.5 oz of Blavod Vodka
  • Give the drink a quick dash of sugar syrup and then fill the shaker with ice.
At this point, I'd prepare a tall glass with some ice.
  • Shake the cocktail shaker and strain the liquid inside into the prepared glass
  • Top the drink up with soda water
  • Add a lemon and a cherry as garnish
  • Enjoy responsibly!
