People don't know what they are talking about. Not only is coconut oil nourishing to your skin but it also helps you lose weight by nourishing your thyroid and bringing down inflammation in your body. You can also cook with it which is healthier than cooking with olive oil.

Are you kidding I heard that Coconut oil is good for the hair but for losing weight because it is full of saturated fat which is not good for your health. So it is better you stop looking for shortcuts and have a healthy diet and do exercise regularly. Remember, slow and study wins the race. So if you lose weight fast you will gain weight fast and if you lose it slow then you will gain weight slowly.

Thanks. but i wasn't looking for shortcuts. It came up on a website that i go to. We were in a weight loss contest. Someone brought it up. A dr. of someones mother recommended it for them also. I agree the saturated fat thing is a turn off. But anything in moseration has a different meaning.

It is a good thing because  of the following reasons:-
It gives you a full feeling thus you don't engage in junk food
the mental state becomes sharper and you are able to control your food crumps
