We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK to be honest, but I'm considering it just to try out that recipe. I always feel a little sad when other countries are partying while we're enjoying "Thursday".
We do have St George's day in April to look forward to... But no-one makes a big deal about it for some reason, no special food or anything! Not very fair.
