Cannoli is actually the plural-- of these little Sicilian pastry deserts.  So if you're talking about one - the word is "cannolo".  They are a a pastry which usually has mascarpone cheese wrapped in pastry dough and then baked.  Usually the cheese filling has flavorings added like chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla, etc.  Here is a picture of some cannoli...

Cannolo, what a wonder-sounding name to use in Blurtit-ville. Maybe I'll get a dog... Hope she is as sweet--there must be 2,000 calories in one cannolo. (I'll bet you anything if you ask the store for one cannolo, they will tell you it's called cannoli !) : )

To my bad luck, I have never tasted Cannoli before but now I will surely do it. Especially the chocolate filled version of this pastry is looking so good that I badly want to taste it. It is interesting to get new idea of essay from essay writing help online that assured me to write on Cannoli.

Most cannoli consist of tube-shaped shells of deep fried pastry dough that are then filled with a slightly sweet and creamy filling, that's usually made from ricotta cheese.
