Where To Find Wild Horseradish?

I remember one year a friend of mine called and said that she had found wild horseradish while gardening. We ended up having an assembly line at her house with: people washing, shredding and putting it into jars with a little vinegar. It was so much fun. Although it was pretty potent. It didn't take long for our eyes to water.

I just looked online and the information there suggest that it can be found in moist soil possibly near a stream. And also in a place that ultimately gets a lot of sunshine.
