Could bacon muffins be mailed from the UK to the US?

Or emailed, or faxed? It is a good idea, though, the bacon in the US is always baked to a biscuit. I don't dislike it, but I'd quite like to be able to eat real bacon as well. I always had to take hobnobs out to the 'States on my trips there (and PG Tips and Marmite). American friends here always used to ask me to bring Oreos back - but you can get then here anyway now.

No-one ever asked for bacon either way.

So "perishable" items are allowed to be sent through the post office then? And do you think muffins would survive the journey? I'm concerned about them being SOA: Stale-on-arrival

As I'm sure you know, the USDAW, are VERY picky about "casual" food imports - if you carry so much as a peach stone through customs and they find out there is an instant hefty fine. Of course, you can try with a bacon muffin...... :)
