The fastest way to cool a soda is to leave it in ice water with salt in it!
The salt content of the water actually pushes the temperature down. I tried it with a soda myself: Just using a bucket, ice cubes, and some salt - and the soda was 44°F in 8 minutes flat - roughly about 20mins less than it would have taken in a freezer.
Ice cold soda - nice!
