I have to say coffee with milk is a guilty pleasure of mine, I need a mug full as soon as I get up in the morning. However I know that there are certain pros and cons that come with this drink.
Lets start with coffee:
Cons
Coffee can stain your teeth and turn them a nasty yellow or brown colour.
It can give you bad breath and leave you with a funny after taste in your mouth.
Drinking too much coffee can increase your chance of a heart attack.
It can actually make you more stressed, especially if you are in a stressful environment.
Coffee is addictive, people can even get withdrawal symptoms if they are stopped from having it.
Pros
The reason most people drink coffee, other than for the taste, is to give them a boost of energy. It is actually very effective for this as it is a natural stimulant.
Drinking coffee can be a social activity. Many people will use it as a way to meet up with friends 'for a coffee' in coffee shop.
Drinking coffee has been proven to prevent prostate cancer.
So it would seem that coffee is bad enough for you without even adding any milk. Here are the pros and cons to adding milk to your coffee.
Cons
Milk is high in fat, so if you are watching your weight, then this should be avoided.
Milk is a common cause of allergy, and many people can't digest the lactose in milk.
Pros
Milk is full of calcium, which gives the drinker healthy, strong bones.
It also contains many other sources of nutrients.
There are several pros and cons to both coffee and milk. Therefore I think it is fine to drink this beverage, just make sure it is moderation.
