Do you think the world would be better off (recourse wise) if the production of all junk food, sweets, and soda was stopped?

I think it would be better if we taught our kids to eat healthier and learn to be able to say "No thanks" to all things that aren't good for them.  There are always going to be temptations in life .. Getting rid of them is just unrealistic.  Better to just learn to learn self-control.

Im not sure.... But one concern is if candy was gone then what would your dentist have to give out? Like before you leave an appointment or procedure.

Nah, it would just create a junk food black market. Twinkies would sell for 100's of dollars.

In the short term no because a lot of people would lose their jobs! But if there was just never any junk food, sweets and soda maybe.
