My Jack Dempsey Cichlid Has A Swollen Belly. I Fed Her Some Dehydrated Krill And I Think She Is Constipated. She Will Not Eat Anything Now And Has Been Miserable For Three Days. Is There Anything I Can Do To Help Her "Move" Things Along?

I am afraid you will have to let nature take it's course. With hold all food for a few days
and see what happens.

Thank you Galaxie. I haven't had much choice but to wait and see since I couldn't find any help anywhere else. I thought she might be gravid with eggs, but then she'd be eating if that were the case would it? She has become more active in the last day, but still so swollen. Time will tell I guess. Thanks again!

Call a vet and see what they say. Or just go see the vet! Your dog sound like she is in lots of pain!

Jack Dempsey Cichlids are aquarium fish, not dogs. Unfortunately, most vets don't see fish. Thanks anyway. Can anyone else please help if there is a chance to save my girl?
