I'm a fan of my wife's chili and those instant potatoes are hard to beat.

But I never eat both in the same meal.

Sounds like a yummy day to me, I never thought of having chili and mashed potatoes together, the next time I make chili I'm going to try it with mashed potatoes, I love real mashed potatoes not the instant crap!

I like chili and I like mashed potatoes. But I've never tried them together. The picture of them together looks good though.

I've never actually tried chili on my mashed potatoes, but I would probably like it.  I love both, so why not together?  :)

I haven't tried it. I imagine that its probably really good.

I'm guessing it goes well with a spicier /hotter chilli.

I thought I was missing something here until I started reading answers. I've never had chili and mashed potatoes together either, but I like them both seperately. I like warm buttery corn bread with my chili.
