Bread is one of the most consumed food item around the world. Not only is it consumed frequently, but the best thing about bread is that it is highly nutritious and healthy. It contains carbohydrates, proteins and vitamins.
The main components of Bread are as follows:
- Grains or flour: Could be of Wheat, Oats, Barley, millet, Corn and Rye.
- Milk or water for mixing
- Salt
- Eggs
- Sugar
- Leavening Agent such as Baking powder or baking soda or more commonly yeast.
All these ingredients are mixed together and then baked inside an oven. This cooks the bread, because of the leavening agent , the bread takes on its lifted shape.
