The easiest way is to use a watermelon as the basket portion of the display. Cut along the length of the watermelon making ALMOST a complete slice in half. Leave a small uncut portion in the middle. Cut along the width making a 90 degree angle to the previous cuts. This will leave you with almost 2 quarters cut off of the melon. You should be able to see a elongated basket form at this point. Scoop out the remaining flesh with a melon scooper or cut out the remaining flesh in bite size pieces to use in your display and you have a watermelon basket. Add the scooped out watermelon pieces back into the melon basket with other bite size fruit pieces.
