All any topical anything put on your face does is moisturize the outer layer of skin. Olive oil is as good as the expensive stuff and easier to remove in the morning. The claims about them penetrating below the epidermis are pretty much false. So the oil helps to retain the moisture in your skin and leaves some of the moisture in the oil, it has water in it also, behind. Be sure to cleanse and remoisturize before going out in the morning and stay out of the sun, that will make the biggest difference when you are older.
