I called Pensrose and they this-continued them. But all we can do is call and complain maybe to bring them back. You have to go to conagra web site and call the plant. Bring back our hot sausage. The ones individually wrapped do not taste as good they need to soak in the juices. I have tried hannah's hot sausage closest thing you can get to a penrose...I bought about 150 dollars worth of other similar ones all terrible..
There was an explosion at the NC plant but most of it is up and running again. Go to www.conagrafoods.com To find where to purchase Penrose Hot Sausages in your area by zip code.
Can't find them in kentucky either closest thing I found to them was the penrose big mama at sams club but still not as good as the small ones, its a shame to get us all addicted then quit selling them
They did not go out of business, that was the plant that burned in NC. They have started supplying some things back, just not the hot sausages yet.
Hickory nc has the big jar I think. But not the little ones like I buy.
My son works in a store in WV he said they were told the plant exploded, because they would order and wouldn't get they were asking their supplier.
The stores here in West Virginia said the plant burned down and we can't find them anywhere. We want them bad!!!
The Conagra plant here in NC is back up and running, but the company has decided that they will no longer produce the penrose brand of hot sausages.
Also looking in Missouri and have had no luck anywhere. Walmart used to carry the 1/2 gallon jars, but not for the past 2 years, SOMEONE please post WHERE ARE THEY!
They sell them in West Virginia I've found them in Morgantown and Charleston. Also I've found them in Plentywood Montana too.
Not found either in NY have looked everywhere that sold them before and stores say they cannot get them. Is the plant going to reopen?
We are looking for them, too, in Atlanta, Georgia. Apparently the company has gone out of business!
The plant burned down back in 2009. Found some very similar and good at www.pickledstore.com. They have Red Smith and Big John's sausages that are very comparable to Penrose sausage. They also have sausages from Matt & Dana. They are more like the hot dog sausages that you found in bars and pubs on the counter. Man these things are hard to find, thankfully there's somebody selling them on the internet.
Looking in Indiana ..... Nothing yet
Hi
Have been looking to found out that the penrose plant burn down.
Have been looking to found out that the penrose plant burn down.
I was told today by a grocery store manager that the Factory burned down.
Can't find them in Pittsburgh. Any out there anywhere
Can't find then in Tennessee either. Love the little ones.
None anywhere here in SC :( Sad day, I love the little things so much!
The Matt & Dana Pickled sausages are the closest in flavor,
however I have to cut the sausages into pieces because the are the
full-on hotdog length. But boy was I tickled when I tasted them.
I started an online petition at Change.org
BRING BACK " PENROSE HOT SAUSAGE" IN A JAR
I called Con Agra foods today and they said that they discontinued them due to lack of sales. They also said that businesses and stores weren't ordering them and marketing them like Con Agra thought that they should so after 60 years they were discontinued.
I was surprised to see i am not the only one looking for these! Bring back my sausages! Lol
I want my penrose sausages best taste no other like it are they rebuilding
Conagra plant in NC burned last year. I think that was where they were made.
