Coke is the brand that I like most. And yes, I can tell the difference in the taste of Coke and Pepsi. Coke is more smooth.

my guess is that coke has a higher sugar content and a lower carbonation than pepsi. Ever notice that pepsi gives a much stronger burn in the throat?  just my guess. I'm a pepsi fan

I can tell the difference between the two.....Pepsi is going to taste a bit sweeter than Coke will.  Whether that's because Pepsi adds more sugar or Coke uses more phosphoric and/or citric acid, I don't know.

I feel the same way Pepsi-cola is sweeter (but not as fresh, to me almost flat, even just opened) and Coca-cola is fizzier but still sweet.

Yerp you sure can. In class my teacher set up a test to show that brands don't matter and theres no real difference. The test involved 4 "cola" types.
- Coca cola
- Coca Cola Zero
- Pepsi
- Pepsi Max

Lets just say I proved the teacher wrong by guessing them all correctly :)

In my science course we did an experiment on this, the conclusion was that most people actually cannot tell the difference.

One has a stronger taste. Coke is a bit more relaxed when you swallow it warm or cold, but when I swallow Pepsi, its lite torture, that why I drink mine warm.

I can't tell the difference, it is probably because I don't drink either very often. The only difference I can tell is the logos and bottles like yogameena said!
