Hi,

Carbohydrate is measured in grams.
1 teaspoon sugar is 5 grams carbohydrate or you can say that
1 gram Carbohydrate will give you 1/5 of a teaspoon sugar.

A teaspoon of sugar weight is 4.2 grams

1 unit of insulin would bring your blood sugar down by 50 points.

Clik here, here and here  for more details on sugar and insulin levels.
