I love making different types of kebab on my BBQ. From all vegetables to seafood, lamb, beef, and just about anything else. Marinate it all the night before and then make it the next day. I love it !
I like lamb, but usually use it to make Shepard's Pie.
Doner kebab? Love 'em but wouldn't eat one. There's too much risk of the meat becoming contaminated in the store.
Shish kebab? Oh yeah -- especially if they're made with quality chicken and not fatty rubbish.
I've actually never had it.
