I love Italian food and I mean real Italian, not the Chef Boyardee stuff.
Italian....love Italian.
Italian is my favorite, then Chinese, then Mexican. I like alot of foreign foods but I don't like foreign substances in my food.
Well, my 3 favorites tend to cycle.
Italian style pasta dishes, Tex-Mex, and Pizza (which, even if the Roman soldiers made it in the fields, is still a distinct category for me).
But gustatorially I am a "citizen of the world" and no food is really foreign to me.
It changes every now and then, but currently I'm on an Indian food binge. There's nothing quite like fresh baked Naan bread. I've since moved on from the bland stuff they make for white people, to more traditional eateries where the patrons are generally of the same origin as the food.
Being most people in the US are descended from immigrants, isn't nearly all food we eat, foreign?
Kimchi; Yager Snitsel; Caribbean Empanadas; Borsch; Calamari;
