How could one be inferior to the other ? Two completely different things. Both season things in different ways and both have other uses as well. Neither is inferior to the other.

They're both so different ... No way one is superior.  They're both very useful and tasty in their own ways.

We can not compare these both kind, they are completely different. Each of them has its advantage and disadvantage.

Salt is one of the ingredients used in the cooking of a meal, the usage of salt is import, we need it every day in our cooking, or in the food.

Pepper also is a kind of ingredients, but it's less used than salt, as we can cook a meal without it, because of its spice that somebody doesn't like it, me, as well, I seldom use it when I cook a meal.
