If there was a food that targeted areas on the body to absorb or stop fat, it would already be well known, and someone would have won a prize for finding it.
When you lose weight, you lose it all over your body . . . NOW, having said that, people do STORE fat in certain areas on their body, and this has more to do with genetics. Some store excess fat in their legs, others around their waist . . And still others, in their . . . Butt. Some are just lucky enough to have either two of those areas or the trifecta (yes you can also store in arms in lower legs as well) . . .
Your key to losing weight is to create a caloric deficit. You want to burn more then you take in . . . This will lead to weight loss. Add in cardio work and build lean muscle as part of your exercise and weight will come off . . . faster.
Regardless of the speed it comes off . . . You can only target areas to receive "Tone" . . . Like crunches, sit-ups and the like for toning one's abdomen. Also, it is important to note, that you can build a wonderful six pack under a layer of fat . . . Hence you still need to burn off the fat to reveal the tone muscle beneath . .
