Vitamin K is a Vitamin which is needed in order to help with the clotting of the blood. If you did not have enough of it within the body then if you got even just a small cut, it would continue to bleed within the body without letting up.

Another reason why Vitamin K is important for the body is because it helps kidney function as well as bone repair and growth too. It is thought that it may even prevent Osteoporosis and so for that reason alone it is certainly worth getting the recommended amount of Vitamin K into the body. Now Vitamin K is not only given to the body through the food which we eat, but a large portion of it is and so that is why Vitamin K foods are so good for us.
