Chef de Cuisine, in English it means "Head of the Kitchen" is the same as saying "Title Executive Chef". The title is commonly used in English/American kitchens that still use the French methods of cooking, and kitchen hierarchy. In some places, this is used to mean the chef who is the head chef in a kitchen, that also has branches elsewhere, and the ultimate head chef (over all these kitchens) is actually working in another location than the "Chef De Cuisine".
