Coffee was revealed in the 9th century and was discovered in Ethiopia. From Ethiopia, it spread to all parts of the world.
When people came to know about this beverage they did many experiments with both hot and cold water/milk. Some people started liking cold coffee and some started liking hot coffee. So from different experiments they end up with the nice, decent taste.

Enjoy your coffee... :)

Kaldi legend is known to be the person who discovered coffee. He discovered it when he noticed that his goats don't sleep after eating berries from a certain tree. Kaldi presented his findings to abbot of the local monastery who made a drink from these berries.
