Too much sugar of any kind will be turned into fat by the body. You can get all the carbs from veggies your body needs. Veggies have sugar too, but not nearly as much as sugary fruit and veggies are far superior in nutrients. Berries being the exception and are very healthy. The body was not meant to have too many major blood sugar spikes which raises insulin levels. After awhile, this insulin regulating mechanism breaks by eating too many grains, sugary fruit, fruit juice and sweets, and you start having health problems like diabetes. It is far healthier to eat, meat, eggs, veggies, a few berries, and healthy fats.
