That leads to you getting a BALANCED diet which includes a little bit of each of the food groups - meats (or beans, soy, nuts, if you are vegetarian), starches, dairy products (or soy products, etc., if you are vegetarian), fruits and vegetables. Each group has properties that are essential for good health and life (like amino-acids, vitamins, enzymes, protein, fiber, etc).
