If you want to keep your apples fresher for longer, I'd suggest using something that's as air tight as possible.
The sandwich bag would probably be your best bet from the list you mentioned.
How to keep your apples fresh
If you want to keep your apples fresh, you'll want to protect them from two main causes of fruit ageing and rotting:
The quicker bacteria reproduces on a fruit, the quicker the fruit will begin to go rotten and moldy.
Bacteria thrive in warm and humid temperatures, but they also need air to breakdown food.
Placing your apples in an environment where they are deprived of air means they will struggle to break down their food, and therefore your fruit will remain fresher for longer.
So what's the best way to store apples?
Out of the above containment methods, the sandwich bag would probably provide the most air-tight environment. All the rest would allow bacteria access to a higher amount of air.
To be extra careful, I would suggest putting the sandwich bag full of apples in the fridge. This is because cold temperatures slow down the rate at which bacteria can grow.
As far as ethylene goes, this is certainly another factor in the way apples go off. Ethylene is a hormone naturally produce by a number of fruits (including apples).
Whilst there's very little you can do to protect your apple from its own ethylene, mixing ethylene-producing apples with fruits that don't produce it will speed up their ripening process too!
