I want to know every thing about this illness including what and what they can not eat .
GPVI or GP6 is basically a gene that codes the glycoprotein VI. The Glycoprotein is basically a receptor for collagen which is found on platelets.
It is basically a 58 kD platelet membrane glycoprotein. It plays an important role in collagen induced activation and aggregation of the platelets. Its deficiency can expose the subendothelial matrix to the blood flow which results in deposition of the platelets.
The platelet interacts with the collagen in two steps and it is highly affected by deficiency of GP6 gene.
