Neither.  They both suck.  They're fake cheese to me.  Give me the real stuff that you slice and eat with wine.

I know what you mean, I love extra sharp cheddar for that zip that it has, and there is no where near as much cholesterol or sodium in it.

So far as I know, neither of these products are available in the UK so I can't give an opinion. That said, I tend to agree with the first response that I prefer real cheese as produced on the farms. I like mature or vintage cheddar (the kind that makes the hinges of your jaw ache if you know what I mean ?) and blue cheeses like danish blue and stilton.

In fact, I don't know if you've ever had a burger with blue cheese dressing or, even better, melted blue cheese on it , but in my humble opinion it's totally yummy experience !

I like the cheese whiz if I have some of those little Keebler guys crackers to put it on.
Like the velveeta to make a chili dip for the tostitos. Just pop it in the microwave and nuke it for a few seconds and it's good to go, but for anything else, I want the real deal.
   Know what I mean, Vern?

Never went near any of them much. But, Cheese Whiz is OK compared to Velveeta.
And which one goes in your fav list?

When I was a kid I think it was Velveeta that I liked better. But only for grilled cheese sandwiches. I don't think I have had either one in over 25 years. My kids both like a medium to sharp cheddar. I was watching something on the Food Network and they were showing Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. Apparently at one of the places in Philly, they use cheese whiz!

I know, and when I see people kil their philly that way, I get upset, we use slices, beef quickly done in aujus, and sauteed mushrooms, bell pepper, onion, and swiss cheese. Mmmmmm. Toasted hoagie roll too. That is thee best way to have them!

I'm lactose intolerant, but when I do eat cheese I like a nice Colby cheddar to snack on... Gotta have mild cheddar for backed mac and cheese and mozzarella on manicotti.... I was never big on the cheese whiz but I do like Velveeta shells and cheese

It doesn't tear me up to bad but when it tastes that good i can't resist and take a lactose pill so I can tolerate the pain lol

Velveeta for what every kid was raised on - grilled cheese sandwiches! I never have had Cheez Whiz and never intend to. Because it could come from China, and I've already had my share of lead intake!

I can't taste the difference in them. I only like melted cheese anyway. As in lasagna or something

I'm more of a real cheese person myself. I too have not seen these concoctions in the UK. I imagine they are both full of artificial preservatives as is anything in a can or jar. Good old Ulster Chedar or Boursin if you like a kick.

If I was stuck on an island with a jar of cheese whiz, a stalk of celery, and a chunk of Velveeta, I think I'd feed the fish with the Velveeta, and stick the celery in the cheese whiz, eating it that way.  BTW, is it pineapple cheese whiz?  That's my favorite.

Velveeta - fond memories of eating it as a kid. But that's when I thought of Velveeta as real cheese. I haven't had it in too many years to mention; I'm a real cheese eater now, and I like a wide variety of cheeses.

I like velveeta better. Cheese whiz was what i liked when i was young. But i made the switch years ago. I found more things to do with the velveeta.

It depends on what you are using it for doesn't it ?? Velveeta is better when you are not able to stir a recipe, as it seems to melt a little smoother.

Sorry, neither is on my fav foods list. I like the real stuff . The smellier the better!! Now my bro can sit down and eat half a box of Velveeta by himself, EWWWWW, not me!!

As a paleoconservative, I'll stick with Velveeta. Nothing else makes macaroni-and-cheese taste so good with just the right texture. And cheeseburgers are the bomb!!! Do they still make Mexiveeta?
