Cooking in a Wok with peanut oil or coconut oil. Cook fresh vegetables on high heat and quickly so they stay crunchy and fresh tasting. Add some shrimp or pieces of chicken and make a fine meal. It's the heat and type of oil you use for the best flavors.

If your dish recipe
consists of meat and vegetable, then cook the meat first keep it aside. When
the vegetables are almost cooked, add the meat back. This ensures that the meat
is not overcooked, and retains its flavour.

Hi there,

Here are some of my best techniques and tips which I have used in Asian cooking:

  • Fry onions till they are golden brown as it leaves an excellent base for your curry or sauce
  • Use a deep pan wok when creating those delicious stir fry
  • A tablespoon of soya sauce can be used in noodle dishes to enhance flavour
  • When cooking any asian dish make sure that the oil is hot before placing in the onions or vegetables and then start cooking your dish
  • A little bit of sugar can bring out the flavour of your authentic asian dishes and is especially beneficial when added to thai cuisine such as a curry.
  • Fresh fish such as prawns or salmon are best cooked on the day of purchase for asian style cuisine as it is said to taste better.

I hope this helps to answer your question :)

The best tip that I have read is this: while stir-frying add food to the wok in this order: Aromatics (garlic, ginger, chiles, etc.), meat or seafood, then vegetables with a sprinkling of water for steam.
