Hello friends, for those who are coffee drinkers. What type of coffee maker do you use? Do you use a Automatic drip, Percolator, Stove top coffee pot?

I too think my coffee is not as hot as it was once.  I recently went to the keurig after my Mr Coffee died.  I’m not sure I like it.

Keurig and all those pod coffee makers are so expensive. Think of it as how many of those pricy pods you would have to open up to measure out a pound of coffee. Those machines are notorious for being difficult to clean. Pods are so wasteful in the landfill. I remember the inventor said after selling his company that he wished he had never invented it ' cause of the damage they do to the environment.

I use my loose coffee just like I did in Mr Coffee. Never bought the pods.

I like stove top on the winter.  But its way too hot to power up the stove on the summer.

Usually a drip coffee machine.

Sometimes,  I just use the kettle and pour hot water thru the filter basket perched over the coffee pot by passing the machine.

I admit to instant coffee too.

I have a french press as well which I should use more often.

I must confess to instant coffee---Tasters Choice.

But if I'm really serious, I put coffee beans in water, heat it to 200 degrees F in the microwave, and let it steep for a while.

(Read that in a book about coffee about 35 years ago---excellent result.)

My wife uses a Starbucks Verismo

Something about that 200 degrees is meaningful for the coffee.

Similar perhaps to how heating milk changes what forms of "sugar" are present and the taste changes with temperature.

WOW! Interesting! And good point about the heating up and changing sugars. ☺
Yes, the microwave and crock pot fight over who gets to be blessed with my presence.... ("you get her!" "NO YOU get her!" "Yah but she is looking at YOU!" "SO! Look she has chicken in her hand! Therefore she's coming after YOU!" Followed by a hysterical victorious laugh from the microwave!!!! 😅)

Okay! This is a question after my own heart! I was always the coffee maker automatic drip kind of gal.... But I HAD to have my cup poured immediately because it would taste old to me after even a minute or two. I am picky but an avid coffee drinker. The first time i saw a Keurig I knew I wanted one but wasn't about to spend that kind of money on myself. Last year I told my best friend that after I publish my first book I was gonna treat myself to a Keurig. It was like incentive to keep on keeping on when the writing got tough. Lol! So about 6 months ago, my friend said she had something she wanted to give me. She handed me a bag and said this was her contribution to my book. It was a Keurig. I have a cup every morning with my book. I absolutely love it.

Have you noticed that the automatic drip type of coffee maker doesn't keep your coffee as hot as the other coffee makers do?
I've noticed that about the automatic drip coffee makers that i buy
I was wondering if there's a particular brand of coffee maker is better to purchase?
