I've called them dippy eggs my whole life but I had to get used to calling them over easy when ordering at restaurants because sometimes the server didn't know what I was talking about .LOL I found this on the web but most people I know here in Central Pennsylvania also call them dippy eggs.

LOL!!!! I never heard of dippy eggs! But I use to love "fried eggs" which are over easy eggs! 😅😅😅😅

Now I am so scared to eat them because I'm afraid of salmonella poisoning. 😐😓😔

Don't be afraid to eat those dippy eggs, because only about 1 in 20,000 eggs are contaminated with salmonella. :)

I haven't actually heard the term "dippy eggs", but it makes perfectly good sense.  I always dip my toast in my over easy egg yolks.  :)

But now just learn the term used when i go to a restaurant i will tell them  Over Easy eggs . Yes i do dip my toast in the eggs also i like ketchup on my eggs ...it's even better if there's a side of crispy bacon ..I was told my late Paternal Grandma , might of had Pennsylvania Dutch in her so hard say but that is something about Dippy Eggs . Fried egg sandwhich? Is that like fried egg on English muffins with a slice of cheese and ham/Canadian bacon?

That will work.
But mine is usuals a fried egg on two pieces of toast. If I have bacon I will put a couple of pieces on it. But basically it’s just fried egg and toast.

Never heard them called that. But I will check with my sister-in-law's brother. He will be by tomorrow and they are from PA.
