Here's what you need:
# a bottle with a cork or a jar with a lid
# white sand or salt
# colored pastels or chalk
# small paper plates
# sheet of paper
# wooden skewer
What you do:
1. Pour a small amount of sand or salt onto a paper plate.
2. Rub and mix sand with a pastel or chalk until all is evenly colored.
3. Curl the sheet of paper into a funnel shape and place into the jar.
4. Pour the sand into the jar through the paper funnel.
5. Use wooden skewer to push sand down the side of jar to make cool designs.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 with different colours until the jar is full.
7. Place the lid or cork on top.
