There are several models of Rayburn pressure cookers. The most common model is the Rayburn Heatranger. A heatranger has a hotplate which is made of iron. This hotplate is so effective that the pan can go from simmering to boiling effectively without having to look under the pan and handling controls time and again. The burner unit or the heat source is the heart of the Rayburn Heatranger. There are the continuous burning burners or the powerful burners which allow the on and off operations.

The burner also has an integral programmer. This model also has insulated lids so that the heat from the hotplate is insulated when the cooked is in a closed position. Then there is the main oven which functions like any other oven, ideal for all types of cooking and baking.
