How To Decorate Cake For Disco Theme?

I would make a double layered round cake, then cover it with grey fondant, and use icing to make squares on it like a chess board and then add edibal sparkles :P yumm :D
some thing like that but without the barbie, and make it flat possibly, and a sparkles to give it that disco ball effect
