Yes. Peel them, slice 1/2 inch thick, toss in simple syrup solution with lemon juice as follows. 1 c sugar to 2 c water heat to boil and cool. Add 3 tblsp lemon juice. Toss pears, drain, lay flat in a zip lock bag. Freeze flat. If you freeze them whole, when they defrost, they will be a "mush ball."
