Rum has zero carbs. Even the dark ones. It is kind of strange that an alcohol made from sugar cane has 0 carbs but according to Bacardi it is true. I have been drinking rum and diet for some time and got started the same as you, trying to reduce the amount of carb intake.
Don't get it wrong though. Even though rum as no carbs, it still turns to sugars in the body, just as all alcohol does. So if your trying to loose weight, this will not work as well as you might think. But it is much better than beer and most other drinks that are out there.
