Rye alcohol consists of Rye whisky and Rye beer. Rye whisky is manufactured with fifty one percent rye. The other complimentary ingredients are corn and barley. In terms of Beer, rye beer is that in which rye is used instead of a part of barley. In terms of beer, rye beer is generally flavoured with juniper berries as this mixes well with it. In case of whisky generally fruit flavourings are used. A particular favourite is citrus. One combination is rye whisky, rock candy which is a crystallized form of sucrose and citrus or rye whisky, rock candy and bitters. Whisky is generally preferred by many on the rocks. The rye whisky is generally aged in charred oak barrels that are new.
