Not really ideal, though I am sure they would grow. Potatoes typically like cooler areas or need to be grown during winter months in warmer locations.

Alabama is not bad! I have lived here for 13 years and have produced bushels in the central part of state. Have your soil tested and give it a try. You will not get large yields but you will have potatoes.
