Iron is an important part of our diet, and is actually present, to some degree, in almost all the food we eat.

But if you're desperate to cut down on your iron in-take, then you could look at "synthetically created" food and drink like candy.

High-fat substances such as oil and butter also do not contain any iron.

You may also want to avoid food that is particularly high in iron. If this is the case, then avoid:

  • Spinach
  • Oysters
  • Molusks
  • Cooked beef
  • Ham
  • Chicken liver
  • Turkey
  • Sardines
Just be careful when reducing your iron intake, it is a vital substance for your body, and reducing levels in your bloodstream could cause certain types of anemia.
