Well...if your family is eating the soup, this shouldn't be an issue. ;-) Seriously, though...just remember the nursery rhyme "...pease porridge in the pot, nine days old." If the soup is still in the fridge after seven days, serve it for lunch or supper that day. I worked for a restaurant owner who had an expression: "It is still good, but sell it today." And if your family isn't eating your soup, maybe you need a new soup recipe. ;-)
