If you're throwing a barbeque party then there is an array of food you need to prepare for in order for your party to be a success. The best tip that you should keep in mind is to make sure the food is prepared ahead of time so you can enjoy the party yourself. It is best to start off with some appetizers which may include chip n dip, potato skins with cheese and bacon or sour cream and chives. You could also add some healthy veg by chopping up pieces of cucumber and tomato. This can all be done the night before so you don't have to stress about making them on the day.

When it comes to the main meal you will want to cook some classic barbeque food which consists of ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs and barbeque chicken. Of course you can add any other meals that you wish but the meals mentioned are sure to please everyone, also once the grill is ready to go, it shouldn't be difficult or take too long for them to cook. As well as the main meals you need to make sure that there are plenty of condiments for your guests, therefore ensure you have enough ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard and any other sauces, as well as side options such as lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pasta salad, coleslaw and potato salad.

Some people forget about desert but try and impress your guests with cookie ice cream sandwiches or a variety of sundaes. You could also offer tasty yoghurts and strawberries dipped in chocolate as well as an array of fruits. The choices are endless!

I absolutely love barbecues! I love the taste and flavour added to food by being cooked over hot coals. The smoky taste and the social experience is great!
Quite often when you throw a barbecue party, you will find that your guests will probably bring one of their favourite things along to contribute.

I suppose the obligatory foods would be sausages and burgers (try making your own with a twist!). You can have any type of chicken - maybe wings in a sticky marinade or some marinaded chicken breasts.
A lot of people love a steak cooked on the barbecue as well.
Seafood is also really nice. You can wrap some salmon fillets and cook them over the coals. Its really delicious.

If you are looking for vegetarian options (which you should cook first) then try some vegetable kebabs and vegetarian sausages. The fish will also probably go down a treat.

Set a table with some mixed salads, cous cous, dressings, bread rolls, sauces and a dew deserts. They'll love it!

I like to grill bacon-wrapped asparagus with my steaks. On the side, I add my cucumber salad, which is unsweetened yogurt with thinly-sliced cucumbers and sweet onions.

It is! And just a little secret between you and me, try it with 1 cup of sour cream and 1 cup heavy cream INSTEAD of the yogurt. Mix the two together and leave it out for several hours to thicken. Then add veggies and refrigerate. It is a little more time-consuming and expensive, but nice and creamy ; )

Try corn on the cob that is actually still in the husk or shishkabobs with Tri-tip meat. Use different coloured bell peppers, pineapple and onions. You can add different things as per your taste. But while the kebobs are cooking use this sauce to keep them wet- Kikomans sauce with lemon (freshly squeezed). Use a little wine or beer in it and some tangerine juice; add a touch of garlic powder but be careful with the salt because the Kikomans is already salty.

Don't forget the hotdogs for the kids. Try hotdogs with cheese in it.
Corn tortillas are good with a slice of Muenster cheese melted on it. Wet the tortilla before you put it on the grill.

When we plan a BBQ party we try to make it a variety of things, burgers, hotdogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, fruit, mixed drinks with or without alcohol. Chips or raw veggies to snack on while waiting for the grill to be finished, or finger sandwiches, it really depends on what the guests or the hosts prefer, there is a large range of stuff you can make for a BBQ you can even do crab and lobster.

Barbecue is a way of cooking on the coals at low temperatures. The main principle of this technique in English sounds like slow-n-low, that is, "slowly and at low temperature." The fact is that the meat should not be fried, but rather languish for several hours at a temperature of about 100-120°C. Meat prepared in this way remains as juicy and tender as possible.
