In the 1800's it really depended on your wadges.

Such foods as bananas and tea and coffee were introduced to the upper class.
However food for the lower class rarely changed,
The most popular was probably Pottage, mad from boiling grain to turn it into a kind of porridge.
You could also add vegetables or meat (if you could afford it!)

Gin and Ale were also popular drinks back then.

Our diets from 1800-1900,were similar to now, except the regulation and inspection policies are much more strictly enforced. Also, junk food has become an american addiction. In the 1800s almost everything you consumed you had to prepare from scratch,no boxed of instant food, can food was introduced in the mid to late 1800s,they were not always reliable, refrigeration wasn't available to all homes until after WW II,so many foods were salt preserved, pickled or smoked. In most house holds the diet was pretty straight forward and simple, you ate what you could grow, gather or kill. From the 60s to date packaging seems to be the major difference in the food we eat, with the long term shelflife of all foods today our diet's know no boundaries Drinks have changed similarly since 1800s,again you drank what was available, and had a good taste, milk, water, spirits, fruit drinks were popular, but only in season,in the 1800s we didn't get truck loads of orange juice from florida, the 1900s were simuliar until about 1940,then soft drinks hit the market hard
