Sorry but I disagree with the previous answer entirely. A friend of mine's husband has bad diverticulitis & has been hospitalized twice with it. Each time he's been told he can never eat popcorn again in any form. I'm not sure I understand what "hot" is meant for peanut butter. I know it is high in fat - but it is a good fat, not a bad fat. In the U.S. we usually serve our peanut butter @ room temperature, again, not sure what "hot" is referrring to. Yes, smooth peanut butter is ok for diverticulitis patients - just not crunchy.
Peanut butter is not only bad but also a death for eaters as it is hot, secondly you can give pop corns to your husband but not pop corn cakes.
