To get you started, you might like to take a look at this article on home cooking which lists many health and socilal benefits associated with home-cooked, fresh food ( which is a reasonable definition of traditional food.)

Fast food is often confused with junk food, but in fact it just means food, usually mass-produced to a standard recipe, which can be prepared, served and eaten quickly. This can mean that health considerations are sacrificed, but there can be advantages in healthier fast food options too.

None at all whatsoever. Fast food has no nutrients for your body but lots of fat, sugar, oil, and sodium.

The main benefit is to make owner's of the food chain franchise rich. The second benefit is a "chew and screw" lifestyle for people on the go in the way the economy works most everywhere. People in Italy don't enjoy this kind of reality sometimes. Such hidden treasures in that place. Anywayz, there you go 2 examples.

It could fill your stomach if you're hungry, if you run a company of junk-food,it could make you rich. Kids will be happy, doctors earn a lot, and it's much more cheap than fresh food.

Quick - Can pop in and get some, or drive-thru.
Widely available - Outlets almost everywhere where there are people, in developed locations.
Energy - Healthy or not, everyone needs calories to survive (although it's better to have more nutritious foods, but if you normally eat lots of nutritious food otherwise, you'll be healthier than those who only eat junk).
Considered cheaper - Cheaper than expensive meals out, but if you go to a supermarket there are lots of healthier foods which aren't super expensive.
Taste.
Easy to eat - Edible on the go, and you don't need cutlery.
