In U.S.A. The states that produce maximum amount of peanuts are Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia Florida, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. In America usually nine states produce 99% of the U.S. Peanut crop, Georgia leads the list and produces nearly 42% of all U.S. Peanuts closely followed by Texas, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, etc. The Georgia-Florida-Alabama section mainly produces the medium-kennel Runner peanut. The Southwest section which comprises of Texas-Oklahoma-New Mexico generally produces the Spanish, the Runner and certain Virginia type peanuts. Nearly 64% of all the U.S. Peanuts are produced in the Southeast region, and the Southwest producing 20% of the total crop. Peanuts are mainly grown in humid climates of Asia, Australia and North and South America. Where as China and India make up nearly more half of the worlds entire peanut production.
