Here is a fool proof way of making a cake:
Ingredients: Eggs, Caster sugar, Self raising flour, Butter, vanilla essence or whatever flavouring you want.

First of all weigh the eggs (if you have 2 in the fridge use 2 eggs. If you want to make a large cake use as many as you want)
Dependant on how much the eggs weigh (eg 150g) weigh out the rest of the ingredients to the weight of the eggs. (eg: 150g caster sugar, 150g butter, 150g Self raising flour)
Mix the sugar and the butter together until pale and then add the eggs 1 by 1.(mixing well in between adding them) then add the flour. Turn out in to a buttered cake tin then cook for 30 Min's in a pre heated oven at 180 degrees. Voila!!
