I have a moderate sensitivity to gluten and any alcohol made with gluten containing products does not sit well with me. I am a huge scotch fan and have never had a problem with any single malt scotch.

Not sure, but alcohol burns sugar so I would avoid it if you are on a low sugar diet or have a low sugar problem.
According to Celiac.com all distilled alcohols are gluten-free.
