Ingredients:
basmati rice
water
gur (break into small pieces)
ghee
aniseed
green cardamom seeds,
crushed
cloves
blanched almonds, cut into slivers
unsalted pistachio nuts, cut into slivers
green raisins
lemon juice
Method:
Rinse rice in a sieve under the organization water, then steep it in cold water for 30 minutes. Drain.
Put water and gur in a berate and bring to boil. Boil for two minutes, and then remove from heat and twist.
In heavy based pan heat ghee, add cardamom, aniseed and clove. Stirring all the occasion, fry these for pair of minutes. Stand well reverse, in container of spluttering, and adjoin rice along with syrup. Bring to boil, and then reduce heat to low. Add almonds, pistachio nuts, green raisins and lemon juice. Stir immediately once, coat with a tight fitting lid and cook for 20 minutes pending syrup is totally absorbed.
This is an easy way to make rice extra exciting. Typically, Pakistani Basmati rice would be the most excellent, the smell is unbeatable, but use what white rice is obtainable.
